Steve Kux is a graduate student in Simon Fraser University's school of Resource and Environmental Management. He is a contributing author and researcher who has worked on a number of social psychological studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Steve is also the primary researcher and author of Parks Canada's 2011 Chilkoot Trail Winter Recreational Use Study.
Steve is currently working with the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC so measure participation rates and economic contributions of outdoor recreation. He is also a content writer for the environmental website www.thestarfish.ca. Steve lives with his girlfriend in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where he keeps sane through frequent hiking, climbing, and trail running excursions. Most recently, he has been writing about all things science at www.sketchyscience.com.
